A woman's body is, unfortunately, its own enemy?

In response to actors Swara Bhaskar, and Taapsee Pannu’s video “It’s my body” 'It's My Body.' This Video By Actors Swara Bhaskar, Taapsee Pannu Has Gone Viral
Why not flaunt and celebrate your body with someone who loves and cares for you, just away from the prying  eyes of the louts and lechers who may wish to tear it apart.

Of course, as you have stated,  it is your body gifted by God after due consideration and you have every right to celebrate it and flaunt it. Flaunting is inherent in celebration.

But don’t you think that the very idea to flaunt your body is to attract the eyes of the people so that they admire it,  feast their eyes and senses, which, may  in turn, tend to  titillate them as well?..

But quite often, this inalienable right to flaunt and celebrate the body may  also cause “hormonal outbursts”, to quote the matronly and experienced Maneka Gandhi, in the  young men so  that they tend to overstep their limits, knowing fully well the legal  and social consequences  such transgression.  Some of them become blind. They just cannot help it.

Ravan couldn’t control himself at the sight of Sita though he knew fully well that he would be killed by Ram.

This is just an honest pondering over the issue  and by no means an attempt to affront you and your rights... Of course, even burqa covered women are molested not only outside their homes but within also.

So, don’t you think flaunting your body or celebrating God’s gift may be calling for trouble unnecessarily?  Why not flaunt and celebrate it with someone who loves and cares for you, just away from the prying  eyes of the louts and lechers who may wish to tear it apart.

A line has to be drawn somewhere  between celebration and vanity.

I think I once heard the sagacious and well-meaning Sushma Swaraj say in a seminar on the question of women’s safety that a woman body is its own enemy. This is rather a harsh reality.

The observation merits serious introspection..
